CPP Wind Engineering came to VFLA with the desire to consolidate their two locations into one common building. The challenge was that these two locations have very different needs; one building contained a large open office for their engineers, and the other location housed their 150 foot wind tunnels and their full scale model building and testing production shop. VFLA worked with the leaders of CPP to create an environment that was secure, productive, and cohesive for all their employees.
It was clear from the start that CPP wanted their new office to feel modern and inspiring while also providing their employees with a sense of comfort and warmth. VFLA accomplished this goal by using CPP’s brand color (blue) and adding in warm maple wood tones contrasted with dark greys and crisp whites. VFLA also worked with a furniture distributor to provide CPP with flexible work stations tailored to their needs that complimented the overall design aesthetic.

Unique areas within the building include a ‘fun’ room that contains a foosball table, ping pong, and a large tv for employees to decompress and let off steam during their breaks. There are also multiple break out pods where small groups can meet to collaborate without disrupting the rest of the office. Along with the pods, there are three main conference rooms for employees to bring clients and for CPP to hold their all-office staff meetings. As a whole, the building is functional, cohesive, and welcoming to both their employees and their clients.
