Nestled within the rolling landscape of Kuna, Idaho—often called the state’s best-kept secret—this new golf clubhouse is designed as a natural extension of its surroundings. Rooted in a rustic architectural language, the building draws inspiration from the region’s agricultural heritage and high-desert character, blending warmth, durability, and authenticity into a contemporary golf destination.
Fish Hawk’s name was inspired the intersection of Kuna’s Indian Creek and expansive views where hawks are often found soaring.
The clubhouse serves as a full-service facility for the new course, thoughtfully accommodating a restaurant and bar, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a pro shop, and integrated cart storage. These program elements are organized to support both the operational needs of the course and the social rhythms of golfers, from early-morning tee times to evening gatherings overlooking the fairways.
Strategically sited, the building is oriented to maximize expansive views across the course while capturing Kuna’s distinctive horizon lines and long western vistas. Large openings covered outdoor spaces, and carefully framed sightlines connect interior gathering areas to the surrounding landscape, reinforcing a strong indoor-outdoor relationship. Natural materials, textured surfaces, and a grounded palette help the building settle comfortably into its environment, allowing the architecture to complement—rather than compete with—the scenery.
